  • Family: Orchidaceae
  • Genus: Oncidium
  • Origin: Colombia; epiphytic hybrid derived from South American species
  • Domestic Use: Indoor epiphytic orchid, cultivable in pots or on a mount; suitable for bright environments with good ventilation
  • Relevant Characteristics: Miniature hybrid, among the most beloved by collectors, available in various color varieties (red, white, pink, yellow); produces abundant stems with tiny fragrant flowers; ideal for small spaces due to its compact size
  • Average Adult Size: 15–25 cm in height; flowers 1–1.5 cm in diameter
  • Flowering: Autumn-winter; stems with numerous small fragrant flowers
  • Fragrance: Yes — sweet and vanilla-like aroma

🌞 Light Exposure: Medium, filtered, and diffused light. Ideal near a bright window, avoiding direct sunlight.

🚿 Irrigation: Abundant during active growth. Reduce in autumn–winter (dormancy period). Use rainwater or osmosed water.

🌡️ Minimum Tolerable Temperature and Cultivation Temperature: Absolute minimum of 10°C. Prefers daytime temperatures between 18 and 26°C and nighttime temperatures between 10 and 14°C. Intermediate-warm climate.

🌱 Soil Type and Repotting: Well-draining substrate based on pine bark or specific orchid mix. Can also be grown on a mount. Repot every 2 years or when the substrate degrades.

🌿 Fertilization: Every 2 weeks during active growth with diluted orchid fertilizer. Suspend during winter dormancy.

✂️ Pruning or Other Recommended Agronomic Treatments: Remove spent flower stalks at the base. Eliminate dry or damaged pseudobulbs.

💧 Environmental Humidity: Medium humidity (50–70%). Ensure good ventilation to prevent stagnation and fungal diseases.

🌿 Flowering Plants

CelaOrchidee.it reserves the right not to ship flowering plants or plants with buds, as these are easily damaged during transport despite careful packaging.

For plants purchased from the FLOWERING section, CelaOrchidee.it is not responsible for the integrity of flowers and buds upon delivery. Complaints and return requests in this case will not be accepted.

We reserve the right to send non-flowering plants, at our discretion, if the flowering stage does not meet our quality standards.

📏 Sizes and Stages

  • Plants N years to flower: young plants that will take approximately N years to flower.
  • Flowering-strength plants: young plants or divisions of mature plants that have already flowered once or will reach flowering size within the year.
  • Adult plants: good-sized plants that have already flowered multiple times.

The ability to re-flower over time depends solely on the customer's proper care. Pot size, substrates, and supports may vary depending on availability.

🛡️ Liability

  • Goods travel at the risk and peril of the customer.
  • CelaOrchidee.it assumes no responsibility for disruptions caused by force majeure (accidents, strikes, natural events, etc.).
  • CelaOrchidee.it is not responsible for fraudulent use of credit cards by third parties: the card number is never accessible to the seller, being transmitted directly to the bank via a protected connection.
  • The photographs on the website are purely indicative. Some images come from external sources: anyone who recognizes their photo and does not wish to see it published is kindly asked to contact us.

📩 Complaints, Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Complaints

  • Goods must be inspected within 24 hours of receipt, even if the packaging is intact.
  • Any discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Reports beyond this deadline will not be considered.

Cancellations or Modifications

  • Cancellation or modification is only possible before the order enters processing.
  • With PayPal payment, it is never possible to cancel or modify the order.

Returns

  • CelaOrchidee.it will replace the product only if it does not conform to what was ordered, subject to written agreement within 30 days of receipt.
  • It is not possible to return plants that conform to the order as they are perishable goods.
  • Non-perishable materials can be returned within 14 days of receipt, intact, unwashed, undamaged, and with original labels. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, including responsibility in case of loss or damage of the products.

Refunds

  • The refund will be processed within 14 days of the withdrawal notification, after verification of the returned products.
  • The refund will be issued via voucher or gift card.
  • In case of installment payment, the refund will be made after receipt of the last installment.
